В нашей школе № 41 г. Чебоксары стало доброй традицией проводить День Межкультурного Диалога. В этом году 2 октября мы встречали Поезд Наций. В этой поездке по странам участвовали 6 команд, располагавшихся в шести вагонах. Конечная цель — доказать, что непохожесть порождает интерес, который переходит в дружбу. Мы — разные, но мы — схожи во многом.
Готовились все участники с огромным энтузиазмом, в подготовку были вовлечены практически все ученики 5—11 классов и многие студенты AFS, прибывшие в Чувашию. Была проделана огромная подготовительная работа: был оформлен логотип дня из шести вагончиков с надписью в центре «TRAIN OF NATIONS»; каждый вагон был оформлен в виде постера с узнаваемыми символами стран; готовились презентации, песни, танцы, стихи, костюмы, декорации.
Наступил долгожданный день, и Поезд Наций отправился в путь с Гимном AFS на сцене нашей школы. Гости-пассажиры вагонов из Гватемалы, Франции, Германии, Шотландии, Новой Зеландии и Индии ярко и красочно представили себя и свои страны, доказывая в очередной раз, какие огромные возможности имеют школьники, участвуя в программах AFS. Получился настоящий праздник. Но он не закончился — впереди учеников и учителей ожидают интересные встречи и мероприятия с волонтёрами AFS в течение всего года.

It became a nice tradition to organize an Intercultural Dialogue Day at our school. This year we were waiting for the Train of Nations. Six teams, who were the passengers of six train carriages, started their travelling through the countries. Their destination was to prove that diversity arouses interest which develops then into friendship. We are different, but still we have a lot in common.
All the participants, that were both our students and AFS students, prepared for this event with great team spirit. Tremendous preparatory work was made: the logo of the event, which contained six carriages and the words TRAIN OF NATIONS in the center, was created; the carriages were designed as posters with symbols of different countries; country presentations, songs, dances, costumes and decorations were discussed and done.
The Day came and the Train of Nations started on the scene of our school, the hymn of AFS opened the event. The guests-passengers from Guatemala, France, Germany, Scotland, New Zealand, India brightly presented their countries. Their performance showed once more equal opportunities for young people participating in AFS inclusive intercultural learning programs. It was a «wow» event. We hope there will be many interesting meetings and events with AFS volunteers for our students and teachers during the school year.
